Book Your AuditOne Consultant, the Whole GTA
Most companies offering a home security assessment in the Greater Toronto Area sell something at the end of it – an alarm system, a monitoring contract, an installation package. The assessment is the first step in a sales process. Home Security Consultants works differently. Julian assesses your property, writes up what he finds, and recommends what your home actually needs. There is nothing to buy from us, because we sell nothing.
That independence is the whole point. When the person assessing your home has no product line to protect and no commission to earn, the recommendations reflect your property rather than a catalogue. You get a clear, prioritized picture of where your home is exposed and what is worth doing about it.
Areas We Serve
Julian conducts audits in person throughout the GTA. Each area below has its own page covering the security characteristics specific to that community – housing stock, common entry points, and the patterns we see locally.

What Every Audit Covers
The audit is a full in-person assessment of how your property could be entered, read the way someone looking for a way in would read it. Wherever you are in the GTA, Julian assesses:
- All entry doors – condition, frame integrity, lock hardware, and reinforcement
- Ground-floor and basement windows – locking mechanisms, glazing, and accessibility
- Garage access – the garage door and the interior door connecting to the living space
- Rear yard access routes, especially where properties back onto trails, ravines, green space, or shared laneways
- Side passages between properties – visibility, lighting, and access control
- Exterior lighting – coverage, placement, and gaps
- Sight lines – which entry points are observable from the street, and which are not
The audit concludes with a written report. Every observation is prioritized, and every recommendation is specific to your property and explained in plain language. The audit typically takes one to two hours depending on the size and layout of the home.
Independent, in-person home security audits anywhere in the GTA – from $590 flat, nothing sold.
Book Your AuditWhy an Independent Audit Is Different
Some companies across the GTA advertise a free home security audit. A free audit is a sales call. The company offering it sells security systems, monitoring contracts, or installation services, and the assessment exists to open that conversation. There is nothing wrong with buying a system – but the audit that recommends it is not neutral.
Home Security Consultants charges a flat fee and sells nothing. Julian has no equipment to recommend, no monitoring package to push, and no commission riding on what you decide to do. For homeowners who want an honest picture of their property’s actual vulnerabilities, without a sales agenda attached, that independence is the relevant difference. For background on why this matters right now, we cover break-in trends in the GTA on our blog.
